We created this website on the basis of a simple truth: there are so many people out there looking for new friends and not enough ways to connect. We want to fix that, starting with our home state of Minnesota. Our vision is to create a platform for people like us that are seeking new connections. Maybe you have a full roster of friends, but none of them want to play pickleball with you on a summer evening. Maybe your roster is full of friends that only want to play pickleball instead of trying a new restaurant. Maybe your friends are all too busy now, or too far away, or you just don't have as many friends as you'd like. We started GrayDuckConnections to help people who are open to creating new friendships. People like us that are looking for connections over contacts.

Hey, I’m John, and I founded GrayDuckConnections. After graduating from the University of Minnesota, I started to feel like something was missing in the way people of all ages connect with each other online. Social media had become more about numbers, comparisons, and endless scrolling than genuine and meaningful interactions. So, I teamed up with two life-long friends, Kyle and Bernard, to create a platform that’s the complete opposite; a platform built to foster new connections, healthy social interactions, and real friendships. We built GrayDuckConnections to be a place where you can be yourself, find your community, and feel safe doing it.

Hi, I’m Bernard. I’ve always believed that technology should bring people closer, not drive them apart. Over the years, I’ve watched social media evolve, but I felt like something was missing—a true sense of community. That’s why I joined John and Kyle in creating GrayDuckConnections. We wanted to build a platform where people could genuinely connect, share experiences, and build relationships. For me, it’s about more than just running the operations; it’s about fostering a space where everyone feels they belong. Hi, I’m Kyle and I run GrayDuck's social media and brand strategy. I’ve always been fascinated by how technology can bring people together, but I felt like the existing platforms weren’t really getting it right. With GrayDuckConnections, I wanted to create something that’s easy to use and actually helps people form real, lasting connections. I’ve specifically focused on making sure the platform is fast, secure, and a pleasure to use. I’m so excited to see how people will connect and grow their communities here.
